Announcement!

This year moving forward, Section4hoops.com will only be covering the IAC boys basketball program. In the seven years since I started this site, I have realized that I do not have the capacity to cover all 70 schools in Section 4. I will continue to cover as best I can the Sectional Tournaments at the end of each year, which includes all classes, all teams. Read more. Enter the ALL IAC section here. (Under construction)

2014-2015 Classification, Official Classes and Enrollment Size (BEDS)

Teams needed!

Prattsburgh from Section V is looking for boys teams for their Christmas tournament December 22nd & 23rd 2014. If interested please contact Athletic Director Koby Hahn at hahnk@prattsburghcsd.org. Class D or C Teams is preferred. Prattsburgh is a Class D School.

PLEASE READ

Section4hoops will no longer be posting locations and times of basketball games. They often change too quickly and these changes are not reported to Section4hoops. I don't want to try and be a newspaper and confuse people. I may still post dates, though they often change too. Please visit your online newspaper for full game details.

New source for IAC Basketball photos

A photographer from Dryden has been nice enough to share his photo gallery with everyone.

Additional source for game scores!

Follow Section4Scores on Twitter. this appears to be a great source for game scores. Scores, news and updates from around Section 4 athletics. Driven by the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin, Elmira Star-Gazette and The Ithaca Journal. This is not run by Section4hoops, it is a new feature. I will still be posting game scores to my Twitter feed when they're reported to me.

They've created a page for New York boys basketball, similar to what was available for the 2008 football season. It includes standings, links to rankings and current headlines.
